Constraints in the context of induced-gravity inflation.

چکیده
Constraints on the required flatness of the scalar potential V (φ) for a cousin-model to extended inflation are studied. It is shown that, unlike earlier results, Induced-gravity Inflation can lead to successful inflation with a very simple lagrangian and λ ∼ 10 −6 , rather than 10 −15 as previously reported. A second order phase transition further enables this model to escape the 'big bubble' problem of extended inflation, while retaining the latter's motivations based on the low-energy effective lagrangians of supergravity, superstring, and Kaluza-Klein theories.

Constraints on Inflation in Einstein-Brans-Dicke Frame
The density perturbation during inflation seeds the large scale structure. We consider both new inflation-type and chaotic inflation-type potentials in the framework of EinsteinBrans-Dicke gravity. The density perturbation gives strong constraints on the parameters in these potentials. For both potentials, the constraints are not much different from those obtained in the original inflationary m...
متن کاملCMBR constraints on R gravity
Considering the inflation model based on a f(R) gravity theory, we obtain several important constraints from the large angular scale CMBR observations. First, the ordinary slow-roll assumption during the inflation together with Harrison-Zel’dovich spectral conditions chooses R gravity as a unique candidate. Second, the R gravity leads to specific near scale-invariant Harrison-Zel’dovich spectra...
متن کاملA method for 2-dimensional inversion of gravity data
Applying 2D algorithms for inverting the potential field data is more useful and efficient than their 3D counterparts, whenever the geologic situation permits. This is because the computation time is less and modeling the subsurface is easier. In this paper we present a 2D inversion algorithm for interpreting gravity data by employing a set of constraints including minimum distance, smoothness,...
متن کاملInduced-gravity Inflation and the Density Perturbation Spectrum
Recent experimental determinations of the spectral index describing the scalar mode spectrum of density perturbations encourage comparison with predictions from models of the very early universe. Unlike extended inflation, Induced-gravity Inflation predicts a power spectrum with 0.98 ≤ ns ≤ 1.00, in close agreement with the experimental measurements. متن کاملSupersymmetric Curvatons and Phase-Induced Curvaton Fluctuations
We consider the curvaton scenario in the context of supersymmetry (SUSY) with gravity-mediated SUSY breaking. In the case of a large initial curvaton amplitude during inflation and a negative order H2 correction to the mass squared term after inflation, the curvaton will be close to the minimum of its potential at the end of inflation. In this case the curvaton amplitude fluctuations will be da...
